What is a Healer?

With so many people marketing themselves as healers these days, what is it that sets one healer apart from the rest? What makes a practitioner more able or adept in their abilities? The ability to be knowledgable in the esoteric, the realms of spirit, and seemingly supernatural, is available to every person with access to a computer or library. These days, many people are quite knowledgable but does knowledge directly transfer into power?

It is my personal belief that all of us have the ability to become great healers. Healers within our own hearts and then moving to be healers of the world around us. The key, I believe, is not able to be found in books, though there are many writings that tell of the key. The key can only be found within yourself and unlocks the door of compassion. One could attempt to acquire all the secrets of the universe, but if there is not compassion in his/her heart, there will be no use for the knowledge gained. It only becomes a maddening search to find what’s missing. Once we have unlocked the compassion within our own hearts, the door is opened, allowing healing, blessing, love and understanding to flow into and through every situation.

At Emaho Energy Arts, it is our mission to live with compassion not just in thought but more importantly, through every action and connection. It becomes very obvious when a person is not living by their heart. A person who is too afraid to be honest with their own heart will not be able to assist another with their heart’s condition. This is why daily practice is of necessity in order to truly assist in healings. While I personally hold the belief that radical, instantaneous healing is possible, I believe that its possibility relies entirely on the heart space connection, willingness to let go, as well as the openness to the belief of its possibility. Throughout history, the greatest healers of myth and religion, all had one thing in common: a profound sense of compassion for every living thing. Seeing everything in its perfection, calls its perfection forth. Our goal is to not only assist in bringing relief to suffering, but also to welcome and nurture the greatest, most compassionate potential of every individual so that they too may become powerfully loving healers.
