Spring Is here, In the Air

Happy spring Equinox!

Today is the day that the sun is positioned directly over the equator of the Earth. This brings an equal amount of light and darkness to both hemispheres of the globe. You could say that our planet becomes a beautiful representation of the flow of yin and yang energies; balance.

While we, in the northern hemisphere are experiencing an increase of temperature, light, and life all around, the Southern Hemisphere is moving into, cooler days, longer nights, and a period of rest. Both are necessary for the process of life to remain in harmony.

On this day however, the planet is at its mid-way point in its pendulum swing through the seasons. This is a place of extreme potential, and also stillness. In the north there is the birth of creation, life and opportunities. Take this day and set your intentions for what you would like to accomplish and see manifested into your world this year. Use the increasing warmth and light to inspire growth within your own being.

If you are in the southern half of the world, this time is equally powerful but instead of creation and manifestation, it is a time of recognizing accomplishment, enjoying the fruits of your labor, and rest. While rest is never as exciting as the action of creating in your reality, rest is an important aspect of life. It is what allows us to have the energy to continue moving forward. It also allows us time to reflect on the directions we have been moving. Is it time to make a new path or start in a new direction?

No matter where you live on the Earth, on this day there is balance of light and darkness. It is the passing of the baton from one hemisphere to the other. Today, we are all on equal footing. And can bring that reminder of equality into every season of our lives.
