With all the fear of the Covid19 illness going around, I would like to share some inspiring words from personal experience on our natural ability to heal in amazing ways.
A few years ago, while I was working on a farm, I was involved in a work place accident that caused a trailer to fall on me, crushing my leg. I was pinned under the trailer until my coworker used a tractor to lift it off of me and rushed me to the nearest hospital. The pain was unbarable, causing me to black out numerous times. On the drive to the ER, I would give my leg Reiki, telling my body that I loved it, aiding its healing process. When we got to the ER, the Dr. had prepared a surgury room to amputate my leg, as these kinds of injuries almost 100% of the time, cause contusions requiring amputation. However, when my X-rays were taken, the medical staff returned with shock and said it was a "medical miricale" that I not only showed no signs of contusions, but I didn't even have a hairline fracture.
After a month of bed rest and continuous positive afirmation, I made a full recovery. Each time I would go to the physical therapists, they were blown away by the rate of my recovery.
The body and mind are incredible and beautiful things, capable of healing from seemingly impossible illnesses and injuries. Gratitude, love, and positive affirmations truly do make a world of difference. The stories we tell ourselves shape our experience. If we give ourselves permission to heal, thats where the magic begins.
Through these times, support your immune system that is always supporting you by eating healthy, thinking healthy, and remind yourself of how grateful you are to have the body you live in.
Take time to place your hands over your heart and lungs. Feel the warmth of your hands. Begin to imagine health and love radiating from your palms into your lungs, coating them with protection and strength.
I wish you all nothing but health and love.
You are safe. You are powerful. You are loved.
