Winter Solstice

Today marks the shortest day of the year. Some know the winter solstice as the beginning of winter. For me, it is the beginning of a new year. Every day after this brings more and more light into our world.

The dark is not to be feared or hated. In fact according to the practice of yin and yang, the dark is a place to go for rest, the unknown and isolation. In this darkest day, i encourage spending some time to be with yourself in your darkness and put the intention and focus into what you want to bring into the light. If there is something to fear in the dark it is only because it has been left alone in the dark for so long, it forgot how to be seen and loved. Love yourself fully and with this flowing energy, i encourage bringing your darkness into balance with light.

P.s. remember to have fun celebrating the changing from darkness to light!
