The Illusion of Duality

I feel that the goal in life is not to make war with darkness but to make peace. Love and light not only heal but make whole. In this world of duality we are creatures of light and darkness. To be one and not the other is to be only half. To make peace between both light and darkness and become one is what I understand as the true goal. How we do this, I still haven't figured out.

Everyone of us has gone through different experiences in life that have brought us to the conclusions we hold on to; our philosophy, spirituality, perceptions. Meeting people who have come to different conclusions is how we can expand our own. Every contrasting view holds some truth. The beauty is being able to find in someone else something that is true to ourselves. This ability to see the good in others that is within ourselves is a powerful gift in love.
